RAID you retard. You can have alot more of the same back up, without having to copy it yourself or using schedules, because data is being written to the hard drives simultaneoulsy. If you are going to talk about costs - if you can afford a shit mac, you can afford a super windows pc. Can't configure shit, go hire a professional and you'd still have left over cash to spend on a proper education.

I can get OX on my pc but it will have some little lag but still Ivan run an OX and widows 7 and xp my custom built will own your Max any day

I am running Windows 7, Ubuntu 11.10 and Backtrack on my PC and they all work great. Ubuntu runs the best probably better than OS 10.
