The year after the leafs traded him they missed the playoffs and where 11th in the east. This year there the worst in the NHL. They miss Bryan Mccabe.

Many hockey fans don't pay attention to plus/minus. And when you look at McCabe's compared to Kaberle's... and McCabe got more ice time too. That's what people should look at, but only intelligent hockey fans do.

The Leafs miss McCabe but got a good player in return with Van Ryn. Meanwhile Burke can't get a return for Kaberle because nobody wants him and are offering "garbage" according to Burke.

Why not pay attention to plus/minus? It's a fairly appropriate statistic for judging overall team play. Certainly not of individual ability, but it judges quite well how good of a team player someone is.

Well here's the thing... people keep talking about how bad the Leafs are... and McCabe was on the same team, with an impressive plus/minus, while his mainly defense partner (Kaberle) didn't. Some will argue the empty net goals while McCabe was on the ice. Well, again I have kept saying that McCabe was ALWAYS on the ice to protect a lead in the last minute of the game, and if getting or being on the ice for an empty netter improved his plus/minus, then I guess he did his job most nights.

The Leafs miss McCabe? With him they did not make the playoffs. With out McCabe they did not make the playoffs. So the difference is what? Come on, It is McCabe not Nick Lidstrom. Get real.

REALLY? What about 2004? 2003?

Go away rookie. Come back when you earn some hockey knowledge.

I disagree, didn't you see what Drew Stafford of the Sabres did to Van Ryn last year?

Made him look like a traffic cone...
