Should sound way louder in a better box and seems like u could crank the amp up more.

Regardless of the music you listen too, the install is clean when you consider what you have to work with. I am looking into this for my 06 Tundra.
I have to ask, everyone sells that set up for 8" subs. When the seats go down, is there any problem with clearance? Also, how do they hit with the seats down? My main concern is not giving up any kind of comfort in my truck. I am just looking for some more umph. Do the amps over heat with the seats down?

@deeotto23 what size are they and are they shallow subs?

@Redneck2118 10's, no they are not shallow mounts, be best if they were though because theres not that much clearance in the storage com.

Nah Woe... I have the same issue with my tundra. there's a box on ebay.com that i just copped for a bill. it's cut for 2 8"s, but if u bore it out to 9" it'll fit 2 tens. dude even has the small side too. there a cat on this site (look up "TOYOTA TUNDRA CREW CAB STEREO INSTALL by RESTOREYOURCAR) He cut out the bottom of the seat frame to allow the subs to stretch and not muffle against the bottom of the seat. there's also subwoofer pillars to post 6 1/2" subs on the floor, under the dash board.
