@25GianfrancoZola25 Hughes was also very important in that run. It was him who came on to change the Liverpool game. In the semi vs Wimbledon (who had tonked us 4-2 earlier that season) he scored the opener to settle the early nerves and then rounded it off. In the final his run pulled a Boro defender away, allowing Di Matteo a clear run at goal and the rest his history.

the late 90's to the early 00's was definitely a transitional period in Chelsea's history, without those years, Chelsea wouldn't be what it is today in my opinion
