Couple with child distract employee, steal iPOD

Police need the publics assistance identifying a couple who distracted a Target sales associate and stole an iPod on May 20, 2009. It was around 9:30 p.m. at the Target at 650 N. Congress Avenue in Boynton Beach. The male asks the employee to see a specific iPod. As the employee reaches for the iPod, a woman carrying a small child approaches and begins to ask her questions. The employee focuses her attention on the woman and away from the case. The man then reaches in and steals the $230 iPod from the case. Anyone who recognizes this couple is asked to call Boynton Beach Police Detective Mike Vail at 561-742-6159 or Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 800-458-TIPS.
