Prove we're smarter than this America. Ron Paul 2012.

@NotoHuckabee2012 I seem to have been misinformed about how the government measures unemployment. However, I still would never vote for him. He's not going to beat obama if he gets the nom. Obama is more favorable, and we need someone who can convert dems. Would the dem party take kindly to his animal abuse? Or his 14% personal tax rate? No way. Besides, he's a war mongering chickenhawk. No amount of defending him would ever change the facts about him. Mit nom = obama 2012.

@joshfrmn An unemployment office does more than just hand out checks. It helps people find work by matching workers with employers. But the number of unemployed persons is an estimate based on statistical sampling - comparable in principle to the Nielsen TV ratings for instance.

@joshfrmn You can't read Romney's mind. And I doubt you've done due diligence by looking into the pro-Romney responses to the attacks. You can't do that. You can't be like a juror who only listens to the prosecution and is sold without hearing the defense. Go to whyromney. com for info.

@joshfrmn No, someone lied to you about that. The population is irrelevant. When it comes to how many people were claiming unemployment, what matters is how many people were in the labour force, not how many people resided in the state. Unemployment between 4-6% is considered healthy. Below that and above that are both unhealthy. And its not just people laid off. It's anyone who is not employed but has been looking for at least a month. That includes kids who just graduated from high school!

It seems the main reason why people want to vote for this guy is because he is a business savy politician who looks like he can create jobs. Well.... LOOK AT HIS JOB CREATION BACKGROUND.
-
@NotoHuckabee2012 The unemployment rate is based on people claiming unemployment. You can't claim unemployment if you quit because businesses have to use the money they PAY into an unemployment account to pay for the people they lay off. In other words unemployment rate = lay off rate. 300,800 were on unemployment (or were laid off) when he left. The actual unemplyment was higher.

@WhyRomneyDotCom Not an issue my ass. Even that were that case, even if he had the best job creation in the country, I still wouldn't vote for him because he's a phony ass fake politician, and anyone with any sort of ability to read facial ques or body language or even the slight willingness to research a candidate or listen to ads form other candidates can tell that. America is full of fuckin retards who apparently want an animal abusing slimy fraud for president. way 2 go.

@WhyRomneyDotCom Yes i get what you are saying, but don't patronize me. You're the one who doesn't get it. The population of Mass when he left was 6.4 million, multiply that by .047 is 300,800 people CLAIMING unemployment. The actual unemployment was higher. Mass didn't need people from other states to help with job creation. There were over 300,000 people who were laid off at no fault of their own because the economy sucked.
Ron Paul 2012!

@joshfrmn No, job creation wasn't a problem when he was governor. Unemployment in MA was 4.7%. That reflects normal employee turnover from people quitting, being fired or otherwise transitioning. People get confused because with the current high unemployment rate it's important to create jobs. But that's not always the case, especially in a state like MA which is the 3rd most densely populated state and they aren't looking to have more people move there (like Texas or others sparsely populated)
