GREAT JOB! This is one of the most hauntingly, achingly beautiful songs every written about the Appalachian experience and you've done an incredible job of keeping that tone but infusing it with a bit of hope. I see a bright future ahead for you and I hope you nurture those Appalachian roots.

Not bad, kid. I have almost all publically available versions of this song and you do a good job. You may not quite be Darrell Scott yet, but you do a good job with this one, even compared to many famous singers/groups.
