How did you save it?

you mean save the game, don't you?

you have to ssh into your device and set the permissions to 777 for the directory in which you have put your roms

this way you'll fix the saving game issue

you arent supposed to save using start, like on a gameboy.

press menu, and press save current state.

then access the game by going to saves, and picking the save state.
