GM made so many mistakes. I wish Pontiac would have gone independent. It was the best. I always to stick with pontiac throughout my life. After seeing the many ways GM screwed Pontiac over, I don't think I'd ever buy a chevy. Guess I'm goin Dodge or learn how to work on cars so I can follow through with my plan.

I wouldn't call a firebird lame. Many road tests showed the firebird out performed the camaro and the mustang. The '69 TA does sell in the six figures.

In regards to what Supermuise said, if you wanna compare top dollar on a 1969 model then compare the cream of the crop: The Z/28 and the Trans Am. Knowing that the Trans Am only built 689 cars, they're worth a chunk of change. Also only 8 were built as convertibles, bringing the value into the 6 digit figure. J.D. did his homework as he built a quality car that out performed the camaro & the mustang based on suspension geometry and engine location, thus equalizing the F/R weight ratio.
