A Popeye the Sailor cartoon. Directed by Dan Gordon. Written by Carl Meyer. Originally released on 25 June 1943. A goat is starving because scrap metal drives have snapped up all the cans. He finds his way onto a battleship - a giant tin can! The first sailor he sees is Popeye, who he is more than happy to turn into a goat himself.

This feels more like a Daffy cartoon than a Popeye cartoon.

Nice reverse-play near the beginning, as the goat starts singing, then goes back to the beginning when he realizes what the title is!

Just so everyone knows, the goat's voice in this cartoon was provided by Gilbert Mack.

@johnnieRad Colorized by the Koreans in 1968, the same people who colorized the Porky Pig cartoons. Much of the animation is bad, let alone the color.
