The Thyroid Gland
The thyroid gland, situated at the front of the neck and overlying the trachea, consists of two lateral lobes and a connecting isthmus. Thyroid tissues trap iodine circulating in the blood and use it to produce the hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine. When secreted into the bloodstream, these hormones increase the metabolic rate of all body tissues. The thyroid gland also produces the hormone calcitonin, which helps regulate the calcium content of bones.

When it stops working it will slowly stop working on its own, if it does you'll have to take a yellow pill for the rest of your life.

..."anybody know what it could be"
I am studying nursing and we are looking into the endocrine system. This is what it says about Graves' disease. It results from a tumor of the thyroid gland and an extreme overproduction of thyroxine results in a high basal metabolic rate, heat intolerance, rapid heartbeat, weight loss, nervous or agitated behaviour. Can be treated surgically or chemically, so please see a G.P for diagnosis and treatment. Just thought I would share what I have read.

@mutadeddeformity83 hormones secreted by the adrenal glands ( on top of the kidneys) are responsible to most things that you said, Heart Rate (Up/Down), Blood Pressure (Up/Down), Vasoconstriction (closing of the veins) Vasodilation (dilation of the vein). Maybe your kidney problem causes it? It could also be some abnormality in you endocrine system. Do get it checked with a doctor as most endcorine problems are treatable

Fluoride is the maincause of a thyroid problem. Behind that is the parathyroid which produces vitamin D for your body and you need that to absorb calcium. So, what happens if the thyroid is not functioning well? Then the parathyroid isn’t functioning well and yourbones become brittle and less dense because they don’t absorb calcium and that’s why women develop osteoporosis.
