I recently included driveway motion sensors into security. Lights, buzzers, and a panel, zones I can see.
Another thing is 10,000 watts of light facing out
If I have to, I will take my dogs over it all. I can't count the times I have grabbed NV , an a weapon, to find wolves or coyotes out in the back woods due to them alerting me. It's why I came up with the motion sensor idea. Extended beyond them.
MrSpears problem isn't subject matter. ADT guy must have been over. "that was easy". =)

Did he mention lighting contrast? Bright outside/Dark inside type stuff? Talon training group had a great demonstration on it.
