A one-take wonder of Eric Clapton's version of Bessie Smith's "Ain't Nobody's Business". I loved the style in which Eric did this on his From The Cradle tour. (I love that whole LP too!)

I play this on the guitar a lot, so decided to have a go on the uke too. No multi-tracking or anything on this one, just straight to camera, with a touch of reverb and that is it. Most unlike me!

Eric's version is here:

  • My favorite vocal performance from you.

  • Thanks Seeso.

Hopefully my voice is getting a bit better. It was pretty poor when I started singing, but I'm practising lots, so I hope it's paying off :)

  • Wow! I am with Baron, you have an amazing voice.

Does the job involve cars with rocket launchers and secret decoder rings?

  • Thank you :)

  • completely sweet. Your voice is simply terrific. You should learn 'If I had you'. Check Nellie McKay's version here on Youtube. You'll kill with this. Your voice and style are perfect. Best and warmest wishes.

  • Great! :°)

  • Excellent stuff, I love Bessie Smith. Ever thought of doing a cover of nobody knows you when you're down and out? Thats an excellent song too.

  • Your ukulele chords match Diana Ross' harmonies to this song when she is singing along to it in her bedroom as a young girl in the film Lady sings the blues.

Well done. Slightly fast imo but lovely nontheless. 5*

  • wow Anna.....lovely singing and playing!...and my kinda ending....right on!
