Hosted by BlockT and CreativeD, this unique exhibition brings you on a journey through the minds and thought processes of those people shaping Dublin's creative future. Video produced by Simply Music.

Bringing together some of the most exciting artistic, creative and design talent available in Dublin today, "The Anatomy of Creativity" provided a rare glimpse into what ideas inspire the creative mind and will look behind the scenes at the processes and hard work involved in bringing these ideas to life.

The event took place at the Block T HQ in Haymarket, Smithfield on Thursday the 3rd of November and the exhibition highlighted the different approaches to creativity adopted by a wide range of artists and innovators along the creative journey -- including the visual arts, crafts, digital media, film, fashion, music education, photography and design worlds -- with a view to dissecting and examining The Anatomy of Creativity.

CreativeD, Ireland's first network specifically for the creative industries, was launched in July 2009. Since its launch, over 100 creative businesses based in Dublin have come together to forge relationships, share knowledge and experience, collaborate and develop their businesses through CreativeD events.

CreativeD is part of a wider European project to develop creative hubs in European cities; in Dublin it is run in association with Dublin City and County Enterprise Boards, Dublin City Council and the Digital Hub.

Block T is an organisation that provides a platform for visual and performing arts, as well as fostering philosophical, creative and social innovation, locally and internationally. Block T aims to transcend the status of being merely an arts centre or a blank-canvas function space.

While it certainly--and importantly--fills this role, its wider mission is to provide a platform for creative thinking of all avenues. It strives to help independent, self-sufficient and productive individuals to bridge the gap between theory and practice in their art or discipline, and to give them exposure to a wider audience.
