  • I have a stainless buntline scout in a display box that came in a set with a since missing frontier scout, any idea where a good place to get more info is?

  • @furoshus You may want to contact Colt. There may be some good info about the set online. I do a lot of research using Google search and read the blogs and forums. You'll need to get a number of sources to assure there accurate. Good Luck~

  • i have the same gun do you know where i can

buy some new grips for it?

also do you know where i can buy a .22 mag cylinder?

  • @skeezitzz Gunbroker. com is a great source to parts and unusual stuff. I also find parts and grips at gun shows. Good Luck~

  • what does it mean that it is a magnum?

  • @tomcatdcn One cylinder is 22LR and the other is 22 magnum or 22WMR. It's a 22 rimfire cartridge that's longer and more powerful than the 22LR. Same ballistics as a 9mm. Thanks~

  • Colt never put a transfer bar in a single action until the much-maligned Cowboy model.

  • I just purchased a Peacemaker 22/22mag. Gun in great shape aside from some minor scuffs marks on barrel. Does anyone know if Flitz polish would help remove those?

  • Good time of day. How much it costs and where to buy it?

  • I have the Colt Single Action Frontier Colt 22MAG, and it has the fluted cylinder, contrary to what the video said about the magnum cylinder not being fluted.

  • hi there...i have here a texas scout .22lr revolver,my father owns it...it looks pretty much he same as the frontier scout but not really sure...and i saw a engrave that it was made in germany... how can i confirm if its a colt?

  • Sootch I grew up in the 50s & 60sand I remember the cowboy craze and I wanted one of scouts in the late 60s but the money wasn't their.

    Thanks for the memory's.

  • Nice,I'm still underage, but my grandfather has 1 and he told me that he would switch ownership of the Frontier to me on the same day i turn 18!

  • Would this be a good first pistol for a shooter?

  • @furoshus The man who wrote the book on these sweet little .22's is Don Wilkerson. The book is titled "Scouts, Peacemakers and Frontiers." I can't imagine any info you'd need on these that's not in this book. I'm sure you can find a new or used copy on Amazon.

  • Very informative video, quick question though : Is there any reason for specifically four clicks outside of spelling colt? Lol
