Cessna 172 Landing PYM 9-18-09

Just your basic flat landing without enough flare (or flair), but I want to try to post videos from different airports so here it is anyway. This is a landing on runway 24 at Plymouth (PYM) in Plymouth, MA. It was a beautiful morning and as you'll hear from the audio, there was really no on else around and certainly no one else on the frequency during this portion of the flight. I had just come from Marshfield where I did a few landings before I jumped over to Plymouth for this landing. Again, 2 HD cameras used here and CTAF audio.

Cessna172R1 PYM is a nice airport. Long runways basically north/south and east/west and a great restaurant to visit. On the weekends there can be a lot of traffic since it is a great place to practice, but it's a nice distance from Norwood. Not a cross-country of course, but at 26nm it gets you away from the OWD delta airspace and out from under the BOS bravo. And you get to practice non-towered approaches and landings.

It felt a little flat to me, like I landed with all three wheels and not on the mains. It's a work in progress. Yes, I shot video of the landing at Marshfield. It was a little firm, but OK. I'll probably edit that one next.

Another excellent video! How far about is Plymouth from Norwood? I might try and fly there for my next flying lesson. Seems like a nice little airport!

To be really picky, the beginning of the flare was a little jerky, and yes, it was a bit flat. Nonetheless, another great video

Nice Landing. It looked to me like your flare was fine. Did you get any video from Marshfield? I should be flying within the month (October). I'll let you know when I figure out the date.
