do you know where i can find an article on this lawsuit. i googled it an i cant find one article on it, only in EV forums and such

They stopped making RAV4EV because Toyota / Panasonic lost a patent suit with Chevron and had to pay out $30 Million. Part of the settlement was no large sized NiMH batteries as used in the REV4 could be sold in the US but they did retain rights to sell small NiMH as used in the Prius.

If it is true that a patent suit brought by Chevron and that Chevron itself is holding a patent on batteries and is blocking the advance of a beneficial technology by the strength of a patent they hold... deeply troubling (putting it lightly) if true. Someone with more info help us out please.
