This is a Flatworm, often called a Spanish Dancer for obvious reasons. They crawl along the sand and can also free swim in open water as this "crash landing" shows! Hope you all enjoy!

This behaviour is not "fake"; Flatworms often free swim in this ripple affect and strong currents could have added to the crash-landing. As to whether it is "funny".. that is an entirely personal subjective opinion. It makes me smile though! ;)

@Dawgmeatt - these animals are not parasitic this is a nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Hexabranchidae. It has two modes of movement... crawling and this ingenious "free swimming" which gives it the common name "Spanish dancer"!
