  • Missing teacher Sergio Contreras eighth dan?. who came second in kumite point. From Chile

  • Hi, please check out Mr Roy MacDonald Kenpo Jersey website for a full isting of who won which events, kind regards Matt

  • Yes, we do hit each other, with a lot of control and skill. To hit someone at speed and still be in control as to the amount of damage that you do is a major part of our art. We can knock out or knock down, we get to choose. I aim to put some move aggressive techniques on You tube soon. Keep watching and many thanks for your interest.

  • why is it when i see kenpo students sparring all they look like is beginner tae kwon do students? in the demos the opponents always just stand there. i am not saying kenpo doesnt work, but dont you think it is good to show what this art does in a more believable situation?

  • @BushidoCode72 Should have made it clear I guess. My point is in tournament fighting as a SPORT it looks horrible. As oppose to Olympic taekwondo, or WKF Karate, and Olympic Judo, or even ESPN point Karate, those look great to watch. There fast and beautiful in what they do. But when you watch kenpo tournaments its sluggish and lame. I wasn't using the MMA argument at all. I was merely pointing out as old as kenpo is, why do there tournament style still look bad after all these years?

  • @xOm3gAx1 Ive seen many great fighter that are sharp crisp and clean. If USSD was a good organization that taught good martial artist they would have those qualities. They dont period. Unless they cross train. Not only that you guys troll all over the internet to promote your company. USSD is a horrible organization all they want is money.

  • @shotojojo1986 Because its not about what it looks like. Its about how effective it is. Kenpo is not a show art, it is a war art. To see is only to be deceived nothing more.

  • @remshot1998 a year later on the comment sure but it deserves to be answered.

Kenpo is not about show. Kenpo is about adapting and removing your opponent from the field. To see is to be deceived. In the real world i've used kenpo dozens of times and never lost.

  • Great Vid! Thanks for sharing!!

  • here let me screw off the head to my broom and then i'll fight you. When would you use this.

  • damn... i turned this competition down... wish i competed now :(

  • @BushidoCode72

Well, it depends on what style of Kenpo guys you know takes. and the dojo.

I do JG angell Kenpo(a rare Kenpo style only available to take in Canada) and we do have heavy contact sparring, we are far from being pussies.

The weird slapping self defense is only part of American Kenpo. Other Kenpo Styles are using simple and effective self defense moves.

  • @BushidoCode72 And i also agree with your previuos statement that we all should cross train for our own benefit, its stupid just to learn one art. I have that much common sense. Geez man.
