The guy turns into a fucking CAR. His human flesh becomes plastic, rubber, metal and glass. Along with having oil, gas, windshield wiping fluid, coolant and transmission fluid. And when you see his face stretch out to become the bumper of the car is one of the most mind fucking shit I seen as a child. So yes I think it is a bit funny that your main problem with all that is how he crashed into a lab.

Look 'dude'; all superheroes get their superpowers somewhere. But crashing a car into a building (you never get that far, esp not in dangerous labs where dangerous experiments are done), and moving in front of a laser beam at the exact time it shoots, is just VERY unlikely.
