  • what hats are these?

  • Paiste 15" Giant Beat Hi Hat Cymbals

  • man i love that snare sound! what kind of snare is it and how did you tune it

  • Yamaha 14x5.5 Brass Snare with die cast hoops.

Tight resonant head and moderately tight batter head.

  • hi!

i play alot of metalcore/hardcore music

and love the sound os this cymabal when crashed, but.... will it survive gigs? and maybe tours>? for my kind of music!

    moose

  • It all depends on how hard you play cymbals. I consider these cymbals to be durable.

  • I could use this cymbal as my only cymbal in my whole kit!

  • Great cymbal and nice playing too!!

I have the 24" Giant Beat which I love.

Did you record this with just a pair of overheads and a kick mic??

    Sounds great.

  • @memphisdrums Your snare is the "Seamless brass, SD 4105

with aluminum die cast hoops...?? Yamaha does not make the

drum anymore. What a shame. You guys are lucky to have such a snare

    in your hands.

  • Paiste's have the best bells ever.

  • I just bought one of these cymbals yesterday. I had gone into the store looking for a 19-21" crash ride and was considering the 21" Zildjian K crash/ride (Zak Starkey Model). The Giant Beat blew it away—as well as a A Custom Rezo crash, A custom Crash and 20" a K Crash Ride. These Giant Beats are great and the videos don't do em justice. One of the sweetest cymbals I've ever heard. Heavy and good for riding, but great responsive crashing without being gongy. A unique combination of both.

  • @IntakeDeathification Its not discontinued.

  • i have the same physical approach as shown on video (kudos!) is it going to last long than year with regular 3 times a week usage?

  • How would this cymbal do with Sabian AAX's 17/18 or 18/19 if anyone is blessed enough to know that (I can't decide which to pair with the crash/ride I am getting) Dx

  • don't tell me it's discontinued...

  • I was wanting to get a ride cymbal from Paiste that is crashable and has a nice bow (like the Zildjian A Sweet Ride) but it seems that i can't find ANY that is crashable... The only ride that i can find is the Alpha 20" Full Ride. It's so unfortunate that this Giant Beat ride has been discontinued :(

  • a giant beat complete set is my ultimate dream..............one day

  • these cymbals look so good! i love the minimalist look and the sound is incredible!
