  • @bossmonkeykj I think it's obvious he's talking to himself, not Grant. It's obvious because the other team then points it out and laughs about it. It makes no sense for him to say it to Grant.

  • @1000thson lol what the hell, is there any need for inflammatory remarks? I disagree, I think it's obvious he's talking to Grant, not himself.

  • @bossmonkeykj But that doesn't change the fact that THAT IS WHAT HE DID! He said 'well done' to himself as a half-joke. If you can't understand that, you're an idiot.

  • @1000thson of course! it's absurd to think he was telling HIMSELF "well done", isn't it? apparently the opposing team thought that would be absurd as well, as they made fun of him for it.

  • @bossmonkeykj hang on, you thought he said well done to Richard E Grant for asking that question?

  • @bossmonkeykj he said well done to himself (which david then made a joke about) for either quickly remembering the name of a company he worked for briefly about 20-30 years ago, or for quickly coming up with a name for a catering company. Both are equally plausible, so I don't know where you're getting this "It obviously points to a lie" idea.

  • @1000thson that might explain a pause, but "well done" implies that he asked a good question, which further implies that it was a difficult question to quickly fabricate an answer for. if it had been real, I don't see how he would have an opinion on how good the question was at all.

  • *so quickly

  • @bossmonkeykj but it was equally possible he was surprised he was able to remember to quickly after so long

  • That's Columbo!
