'How Can We End Poverty?'

That's the question Bono addresses on a video shot recently by Phil Joanou in Arusha, Tanzania.

'Make Poverty History! What was that ? A T-shirt?' A year after the G8 leaders met in Scotland, pledging huge steps to end extreme poverty, Bono asks what difference campaigners are making for the everyday life of people in the poorest countries.

From millions of children now in school, millions being protected from the killer-disease malaria to a dramatic increase in the availability of anti-retroviral drugs for those living with HIV/AIDS... campaigners, he says, are creating real change for the good.

  • O come on. telling me to fuck myself? you're the one who judges here. you don't know anything about him right, and you think he's a prick and cunt and stuff, so why waste your time.

  • Such witty nicknames for him. Boner and Bobo. Laugh out loud really. He does give his money and time to these causes, because its such an injustice in the world today. And I'm sick of people criticizing U2 have having these massive stages and big flashy shows. I'll admit it, yes they do that. But when your one of the biggest rock bands in history, and your trying to break free from what everyone has done before you, your not going to have some shitty little stage. Thankyou.

  • The word is so cruel! I want to help Africa but I don't now how because I live near Geneva and I don't have time!

  • the music has lost its vitality. And he started collaborating with some jerk-off artists. Its not really rock music any-more which is not at all cool

  • bono, if you wanna, don't dodge taxes

  • Bono is such a good man! He has raised money for africa leading to the cancellation in DEBT and saving actual lives. He has created awareness and made a huge difference.

Now a message for all you haters who say Bono is a hypocrite. I do not know you but i will bet my life and a whole lot more that you have not done as little as reached into your pocket and put a penny into a trocaire, ONE or Unicef box. You have done NOTHING and you know its true. The real hypocrites...are you guys.

  • I agree with the comments. Just been back to TZ for first time since 1966. Please take a look at my short video with original footage from the 1950's & 60's.

  • Bono you may be annoying but fuck are you one decent guy!!!!!!!

  • @sally55510 If he exposed the scam that is fractional reserve banking and the fake debt it has enslaved humanity in then he might be worth listening to.

  • Read Dambisa Moyo and William Easterly, not this fool.
