That is such an awesome technique there Besides the fact it is so light well shaped, that glass will feel great in the hand. Also, those square bats are awesome. Perfect for potters like me who don't like risking bending the rim on a pot when taking it off to put on a board.

Inner finger low, outer finger high. Push fingers into wall. Your finger tips should just overlap. Wheel moving a little slower then normal. Now pull up too fast. I make crazy forms this way.

The cup you see here is translucent when fired to cone 10. The thinner you can throw, the more light transmission you will have. Larger porcelain works may require trimming from top to bottom. A small tumbler like this does not. Hope that helps.
