  • My friend has a taotao atv. I was riding it. It ran fine for months but this time I gave it gas it smoked a lot from a crank case breather and hasn't started since. It has compression and spark and the carb had Ben cleaned. There is a coil for the spark that is said to produce spark when bad but the spark ain't at the right time. Do you think that might be itt. It takes in starting fluid but wont ignite it. Them it just pushes it out the exhaust

  • also water in the intake and exhaust port works, if it leaks out the valve..... you get the rest

  • you can also screw in the sparkplug and fill the combustion chamber with kerosene and look into the ports for leakage.....BTW great video !!!...keep them coming.

  • That ex valve is seated way to deep. Looks like the shop that cut that seat did a sloppy job. I love your vids and thanks..

  • @MrGreasemonkey2012

I am only familiar with car motors, but the intake valves are always larger than the exhaust valves.

  • клапана проверяются жидкостью а не светом, залевая её в канал

  • i always thought the inlet valve was the smallest! not the biggest...mmm ''4strokes'' any 1 here to back me up. or am i misstaken?

  • another easy way is to pour some paint thinner or carb cleaner in the port, and if it drips or seeps through you know it's leaking

  • i tried this test (on pretty much the same engine but a 125) and i could see light through the intake valve, it ran okay before but it smoked REALLY bad, could the valve not seating right cause it to smoke A LOT? and it has good compression.
