I have been listening to Melinda's songs almost on a daily basis. Just can't get over how good she is. The current crop of contestants in the American idol can't come close to her talent. She always seemed to sing with such feelings. I seemed to have lost all interest in watching the Idols, which used to be my favorite show season after season. Maybe they should invite Melinda as a guest and give everybody a singing lesson.

In my opinion, Clay Aiken and Melinda Doolittle are the best vocals out of American Idols.

She can sing anything, not only Gospel songs. Her voice can't be typecast. It's rare to find a singer/vocalist who can sing anything and she's one them. She can even sing a chemistry chart and she'll do her own thing. Like what she did during her AI stint. IMHO, she was just too good for AI.
