@DatBRiGGA lol so funny,I guess you don't speak hindi. Actually battle will go on hours and hours on later episode but before the battle this 20 minute song is given to show how big this war was and the name and description of brave warriors who take place in it etc. Some of these warrior could have destroyed an army by themself alone without help from single soldier.
I understand you situation if you don't speak hindi, this song would be confusing and boring.

kurukshetra war: 60 million people killed over a period of 18 days. no onw knows where the actual place of kurukshetra really is. over the land, under water?
beat a war which pushed man back in stone age and this was not a war in which the side who gained more territorry won. this war was till death. the victor was the man living.
