Hi everyone - hope you've been doing well : D

So here is my makeup tour of Hong Kong, a city I love. The places I mention are the places I go to, and are by no means is this an extensive description of what Hong Kong has to offer in makeup shops. I'm only sharing the places I love to check out. You can do a websearch on the exact addresses.

So to set you off here's a MTR map:
http://www.mtr.com.hk/eng/train/system_map_pop_up.html

KOWLOON
Tsim Sha Tsui
Lane Crawford (main brands but I check out Smashbox, Cle De Peau and Maquillage) and Faces (I check out RMK here) - Ocean Terminal/Harbour City mall - my fave place to shop!

Jordan
Teamwork Professional Shop (Cinema Secrets, Graftobian, Korean mu brands) and Lan Lan shop (Cle de Peau, Maquillage, Jill Stuart) - both in Prudential Centre mall with MTR exit

Mong Kok
Smashbox, NARS, MAC, Anna Sui + main brands - Langham Place Mall with MTR exit

Angel cosmetic company - great small Korean mu brands and synthetic brushes

Sephora (Stila, Sephora) and Sa Sa - Hollywood Plaza (Sai Yeung Choi street)
Smashbox, NARS, Anna Sui

Sonia Rykiel, MUFE, Sofina, Shiseido Maquillage - Wing On Plus Dept Store

HONG KONG ISLAND
Causeway Bay
MAC, Lunasol, Bobbi Brown, Cle de Peau, Mary Quant, Shu Uemura - Sogo Dept store with MTR exit

Opposite Sogo is a small mall called Island Beverley with many small individual shops, some of these sell Jill Stuart, Maquillage etc.

Pharmacies such as Watsons (Majolica Majorca, Kate, Canmake) and Mannings.

Hope you enjoyed this!

  • I'm surprised you didn't mention some of the major makeup drugstore outlets like Bonjour (majorly cheap and a wide variety) and Colormix; they're not as concentrated as the Sasa branches, whereby you could find one on almost every 2 streets, but they have a fair dispersion across the city, and are often a lot cheaper than Sasa, Bonjour in particular.

But a great review, overall :)

  • @whateverokayy over a year ago and I have done a more recent vid in May this year, which was following a more recent visit to HK. In this latter vid, I mention that Bonjour shops are more visible now and seem to have grown.

  • are u chinese? or mixed?? u dont look asian at all

  • lol...check out my Chinese tag video : D

  • was the stuff at cinema secrets expensive?

  • I remember it being same price as MAC is in HK (slightly more ££ than UK but given exchange rate) - I also got a discount on my total purchase so in the end it worked out well for me

  • I'm going to Hong Kong in January, still the same shops?

  • I am so mad because I went to Hong Kong for a couple days when I visited the Philippines and at that time I did not know about all the cosmetic and jewelry bargains. I wish I could go back! Love the video :)

  • so much info! so helpful! thanks!

  • this was just what i was looking for perfect! So informative!! thanks.

  • Wow thank you so much! I'm going to HK and China this summer for a month and I was really curious what makeup brands they had and the prices! This was very informative and helpful.

I was wondering if there are any specific brands that may be only sold there that I should keep an eye out for? Like how Gosh is only sold in Canada/UK etc..

    Thanks again! =)

  • thanks so much !!!

  • I miss HK so much! And I don't know what I'd do if Sasa didn't deliver internationally.

I'm still recovering from my makeup spree last summer. Most of it went on things in Sephora. I constantly ask myself why they don't have it in the UK.
