WHATS A LERP ANYONEE!

could something like this be done dynamic i want to have some plant growth over taking things as the level progress'es

I seem to be having some trouble with this I have the material setup exactly as it is in the tutorial though with my own textures of course and I am not getting the same outcome? I have gone over multiple times matching up mine to the one in the tut but I see no differences though there obviously is.

@seescruffyrun ok sorry and thanx

How does this technique compare performance cost wise with using a bw mask in the alpha of the lerp? Great tutorial on your sight by the way had a lot of fun with it.

@bongfodder
Well bongfodder, if you use a black and white texture, it is deriving the effect from a texture that takes up some sort of memory footprint regardless the size, plus it limits how much variation you'll have. This method allows every piece to be different by simply using the RGB vertex values which is much cheaper memory wise however this shader does cost a little bit more than a black and white texture plugged into the Lerp. It's a toss up between processing power and memory usage.

yes, tutorial. Check the link i have provided in the pulldown comments section. THAT'S the tutorial. The video is simply to show what it can do.

Hey there Minokrome. I'm sorry to have to say this but if you were smart enough to look at the comments you'd see a link that takes you to the tutorialls page which explains everything. Next time check to make sure your Accusations are indeed true.

@Kiyamlol
Sure. hope onto my web site (link provided above in the videos description), go to the contact section and e-mail me a description of what you're working on and how you're setting it up. Screen shots of your shader would be helpful as well. I'll try and get back to you as soon as i can!
