How thick does the ice need to be? I am going to do the same if we have got a good winter again.

@retetikker About 15-20 cm thick ice will be strong enough to stand car weight.

We used to race on a foot of ice... and erect a paddock area on2.5 feet of ice...

Man, do I ever miss doing this. We had guys in the club racing all sorts of classic cars, before they were classics. Volvo p1800's... all kinds of old Saabs... a Sunbeam Tiger, 69 Cuda. I ran a 65 Mustang v8 2+2.

Gawd it was fun!
