Father John Angus Rankin and Archie Neil Chisholm , emceed this concert , as well as many other concerts on The Island . This video was recorded by Howard Sleep.

John Morris captured the Cape Breton sound better than any other fiddler with his hollowbody old Mabou coal mines style of playing....Simply the best sound ever.....

It's the Cape Breton version of the Irish reel "Toss the Feathers". It is likely that Johnny M is responsible for this setting of the tune. He frequently played these first three reels in this sequence ... the following two being "Mary McMahon" and "The Old Copperplate".
