April 29, 2010 - Stephen Harper says the G-20 has become the steering committee for the global economy, and that such global governance is required to prevent instability created by the free market.

"A completely unregulated, ungoverned market, a market without governance is unstable ... We need some semblance of a global governance ... We're not talking about world government. I don't think anybody is going to come in and say we're prepared to surrender our sovereignty to the G-20 or some other body. But what they are going to say, in practice, is that we have to coordinate our policies to create stability for all of us." - Prime Minister Stephen Harper

  • @Mathesonguy but it does exist in isolation.... it is a sovereign nation is it not? Does this not strike you as an important attribute? If you think you're going to get a global dominion elected by the people.... ur kidding urself. Who is accountable? A group of global dictators above federal law? Oh that's right they're international juristiction now.... but is this beyond our arguement? What really was ur point to begin with?

btw you brought up the idiotic point, I just went with it.

  • @kotj101 I don't understand why you start talking about a physics vaccuum when I was clearly using it as a metaphor to say that Canada does not exist in isolation.

Either you did not want to continue the political discussion, are not very bright, or are a dick. Take your pick.

  • @Mathesonguy if the vacuum isn't empty... that screws up your whole metaphor you twit... unless you were paying me a compliment :s so btw, i think you just owned yourself :x

On a serious note, i never said the vacuum was empty... you implied that with ur dumbass metaphor. I implied "everything exists within the vacuum". You should call it quits before your inferior debate skills make you look even more retarded.

I agree with you on your debate with kristopheraugust. Silver lining maybe?

  • @kristopheraugust But that system has it's problems to right? Unfettered capitalism would not benefit humanity as a whole. I believe in capitalism, but I also believe that people will screw the entire system chasing bonus', if they get those bonus' regardless of proformance.

You can't agree that these derivatives traders can be left to police themselves. Do you?

  • @kotj101 Dude, we all don't live on the Net during the summer like you.

The point was that the term vaccuum was a metaphor. One that went waaaaaaay over your head.

Now taking your idiocy literaly I have to ask... What physics textbooks have you been reading. Mine say empty space ain't so empty.

As for pwnage, if you thinki taking someone out of context, and making up some physics "fact" amounts to it, then you need to get a life.

  • @Mathesonguy oh how you fail to refute me. Now you've resorted to immature slander. And it took you a week to come up with that comeback? metaphor tip? Owned is a word you should add to your vocabulary.. since we're throwing tips around.

  • @kristopheraugust Ms.Rand was quite clear on the incentive... selfishness. You need to study her ideas more closely, since what you stated did not make sense.

  • @kotj101 There is obviously one inside of your head! Just a quick metaphor tip for ya.

  • @Mathesonguy everything exists in a vacuum! just a quick physics tip for ya.

  • @kotj101 If you believe Canada exists in a vaccuum, then your comment makes sense.
