I understand cultist phallic symbolism, but could this help explain why it is that males are always stereotypically the ones to be "horny", and why masculinity follows them this way? Because indeed, genes have a great affect, but there are also ways that people would be able to profit from said stereotypes, so influencing and encouraging them would be most beneficial... The same thing goes with the stereotypes toward women.
