Taylor DN3 acoustic guitar sound test based on few acoustic riffs recorded through a mic and DI (at the same time) using Digidesign Mbox2 sound card and Apple Logic Pro 8 software. Read my blog post at: http://www.myguitarmusic.net/my-taylor-acoustic-guitar/ -

  • will the sound be different if you play it unplugged? as in without the installed pickup?

  • @small2boy yes, of course it will sound different.

  • Watched again and very nice natural sound to the pickups. Thanks for posting such a helpful video. Good job man.

  • @EKWalmsley Thanks again, glad you found it useful.

  • Very nice playing. Tone and feel are great. Bought same guitar yesterday. Looks like you have some kind of pickup (inside edge of sound hole) installed. What kind is it and how do you like the sound for live gigs?

  • @EKWalmsley Thank you, much appreciated. Yes, I installed K&K Ultra Pure Western Pickup which especially for live gigs and it works great. Tone is very dynamic, close to natural acoustic. I am attaching a video with MIC vs K&K pickup comparison so you can get a closer picture of what it sounds like.
