What's your pick of choice? I've been learning how to play the guitar and was wondering what's the difference between the types of pics.

@r1canpride I like dunlop/tortex picks, either the purple gator grips or green sharps, but sometimes I will use lighter or heavier picks depending on what I am playing. The difference is mainly personal preference, try getting a light, medium and heavy pick to see how they feel for you. As far as shape and material, also personal preference. For example, the material they use for Gator Grips is great because it is slip resistant, but the material also wears out faster than a normal tortex pick.

What type of pick are you using?

@OrichiSan Not 100% sure for this video, but most likely a Tortex Sharp.

hey just wondering when you're doing these chords if you're supposed to strum all the strings? how do you know when to strum all of them?
MrAccountforstuff 11 months ago
@MrAccountforstuff No, for a power chord you are going to strum the 2 strings that are held down with the left hand. The set of videos on this goes into muting technique to block the other strings if you do strum through them. If you are playing the open strings, that could be a reason why the chords don't sound much different when you change them.
