This question does not really matter...or maybe it does...depends on how you see it.
If the gun goes on your shoulder, what's the point of giving the gun a rear view aim? You're not gonna take the gun off of your shoulder and put it to your eye..and if you do, there's still the recoil of the gun to worry about. As you said, it is pretty much a hand cannon.
