  • why is it that all of us mezzo-sopranos get trouser roles? Can't we ever have a regular female role? *sigh* Not that I don't appreciate the trouser roles I've done, it just gets...me angry.

  • @Poet2916 awwww you have Cosi fan Tutte, Barber of Seville, and... um... Juliette's and Lucia's nurses? LOL. Go put your pants back on.

  • hi!! Where did you study and with who?? Congratulations

  • Isn't she great?

  • I watched this whole production and I have to say she was definitely the best part of it. Our Romeo was aging and not particularly agile in voice and Juliette was Netrebko which I think says enough. But this was fantastic, I even prefer her version to Elina Garanca's.

  • This is amazing. I love the C at the end. It is impressive that such a dark voice is capable of reaching such height without being heavy. Wonderful!

  • @Poet2916 The trouser roles are my favorite! Also, there are lots of great female roles for mezzos... like Carmen, for example!

  • Wonderful. Her voice manages to be so rich, but not heavy. Can't find a version on YouTube that I like better.

  • @Luindriel A few roles I have done are:

Azucena in Il Trovatore (lots of old makeup lol)

The Composer in Ariadne auf Naxos (A trouser role)

Nicklausse in Les contes d'Hoffmann (another trouser role)

Siebel in Faust (yet again, another trouser role)

and Charlotte in Werther (the only role where I wasn't a trouser or an old lady)

Les Contes d'Hoffmann is my favorite opera because it's in French, next to A Midsummer Night's Dream, but I don't think there is mezzo roles in that opera =(

  • Roméo et Juliette

  • She´s argentine, or her mother is.

  • Merveilleuse voix et joli garçon!!! lol

et décidément voila une habituée des couteaux sabres etc...ici et en Sesto pour Giulio Cesar..!!

  • you are so inspirational! I absolutely love the color of your voice and wish you the best! It's so refreshing to hear a mezzo that actually sounds like a mezzo! BRAVA!!!!!!!!!

  • She is a wonder - as asinger and as an actress!
