Here's something crazy. Let's assign a number value to each letter A=1,..., Z=26. Look at the initials of the name Aron Baynes. AB. 1 + 2. That makes three. Now count up the number of letters in his name. 10. Subtract the two numbers. 10 - 3 = 7. Which is the number of points he scored tonight!

Qabalistic gematria aside, Baynes had a nice performance in his first real minutes as a Spur, including an emphatic first field goal. Which is of course expected, since he is a foreign player who was picked up by San Antonio. It seems that they have scouts where other teams don't. If I were Stern I'd fine them some more for that.
