green331 made this vid and it is set to a song written and performed by me that I recorded a while back. Thanks to my angel for taking the trouble to do it. I know it's not an easy song to do a vid to. I'll just use her description, since she's the artist and editor here, I just did the soundtrack.
S t o r y:
13th April 1954.
A date everybody should remember, everybody with eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to feel. Unfortunatelly, not many do have, what's mentioned above.
He grew fast, grew independent and grew to a man. Probably the only real one that ever walked on this planet and yet, so many do not see, what I saw. I was watching him, watching it all.
School imprisoned him pretty soon, so he left, spread his young wings and flew. He flew alone. Joining the army.
Along with the sorrow, his body became stronger. His skills better, his reactions faster. His heart .. bitter.
Saw too much, his ears, deaf from the bullet shots, the screams and the battle. But it was the battle, he needed. His whole life, turning into a battlefield. A field he stood on, he stood on alone. His memories, always flashing back right before his eyes. War, blood, tears .. a smile? Seldom, faded way too soon, too easily.
Oh, Lord. Have mercy with a man, a man who's heart is bigger than all the worlds put together. "But I shall test him" I looked down.
The women, dying. Wrapped into a battle which was not theirs. The children threatened, by men, not their fathers. Rescued by just one. One real father, one real man and one real husband. But they didn't appreciate, didn't cherish. They used, used and faked. "You may kiss the bride" before he signed the divorce papers. Looking for love. At an age, too young to mention. At an age, not important. Just a number, just a number.
Affection, in love. In sex. In drugs and death. Blood and war.
War. It was his brotherhood. His brotherhood of war.
He wouldn't surrender. Throughout all the centuries, he carried on. His shoulders brought, his heart young, wounded. Wounded so badly. It scared me. His past. It scared me. I knew I mustn't be scared. I knew it. And I've made my mistakes. But he shall be forgiven, for I want to be too. I shall be forgiven.
I grabbed it. His past. Its intensity and heat, burning me, shooting through my body like the wildest spitfire. Filling my every vein, rushing through the air, filling my sore throat, my lungs. My broken heart and yet this fire mended the pieces. We mended them together. I slayed it, the fire, the fear. I slayed it.
I freed it. Locked too long. Too deep inside.
I love. I love him.

@yurishinju Thank you. That's the greatest compliment a songwriter can have . .
That a song they wrote took someone away to another place.
