  • @Mikemonga in Somalia we don't have such names Mike. so shut the F**** Up. and don't reply to me again.

  • @nyashinyangwivi That is so true he is very unprofessional. He makes the lives of other jounalists very risky since combatants will not know whether to trust that one is a journalist or the enemy. I've never in my life seen an armed journalist and SMG should definetely take disciplinary action.Otieno you don't look cool, you look exceedingly foolish.

  • This is my first time to see an imbeded journalist holding weapons and surrounding himself in bullets. This is the least professinal conduct of a journalist and the Standard Media should take full responsibility. You cannot send journalist to a war zone without giving them proper training. This is such unprofessional act, it is both ignorant and very dangerous Mr Otieno.

  • @MegaHonored i'm somali, you are lying, it's true what the interpreter is sayn

  • False interpreting NOT acceptable and it will jeopardise the lives of the journalists.

Every single word the first captive said was misinterpreted.

The guy said he is too old and very ill to be part of Al shabab. And he is being forced out of his house. Thanks God I understand Somali fluently.

  • You guys are brave! Kudos to you for reporting from there! Long live our troops!
