Okinawan Director/Producer Daiichi Hirata made a brief visit to LA in early July to take care of some business (rehearsals, a press junket with LA media and a performance of "Spam-A-Lot") before returning for the performance on August 28th. He worked with members of Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko (RMD) who will be performing in the musical and went over choreography with local Southland kids who are also in the performance. As you can see, they are working hard to perfect their performances! This track in the slideshow is his music. As much as this music breaks with tradition so will "King Sho Hashi~Dynamic Ryukyu!"
Tickets are available for the August 28th performance! $30 pre-sale/$40 at the door.
Starts at 7pm at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center.
