at the 4:38 variation why didnt you take Rf6 with the bishop , and then he has to block the mate threat with his queen or bishop , then you can take the other rook on B8 with your queen?

This bored me

it was like watching a chess game with commentary from the speaking clock .

kind of a passive approach. Sometimes passive can be usefull and sneaky in chess but in the long run this opening is likely to end with white losing if black is a good player.

nice game. I love Bird's Opening.

nice game...an idea: at 3:23, after black plays pawn to c3 white could take on d5 with Rxd5, black recaptures with either cxd5 or exd5 and white plays Nf6+ winning black's queen...( utilizing the pin over the g7 pawn )

looks about expert strength. to olliive, Bxc6 removes a defender of the dark squares. One typical plan is to d3 Nbd2 Ne5 g4 then Nf3 followed by c4. Black is worse. if black ops for g6 Bg7 c5 nf6 and o-o before nc6, this disrupts the obvious plan of taking over the dark squares by f4 and b3. f4 b3 is good against class players. another black idea is1 f4 d5 2 b3 is to play d4 blocking the bishop and making e3 difficult, e3 and nf3 are usually played first to prevent similar black plans.

...I wulda p layd the Coppenhaghen defense...
Why not give commentary on the game? Why did you play the moves you did? Don't just announce the moves, but explain the moves and their significance. It would make for a much better video.

kind of reckless on both sides of the board, but interesting nonetheless
