I'm not religious but you know what I have zero problem with U2's songs having christian themes throughout. There's nothng wrong with it. What I find funny is that anyone would take this song to be so literal. It's not about a girl, it's not about religion, it's not about society, it's not about love.... oh wait a minute it's about all those things. Open your ears, eyes and hearts people. You don't have to be Christian to get the true meaning fo this song. You simply have to be human.

I don't like religion. I just love God. The concept of grace is beautiful . I too cry when I hear this lovely tune. Bono said it best - all great music goes towards God. Or comes directly from God. Such a beautiful video thx for posting.
