I got a PS3 Slim after the YLOD

My PS3 YLOD when I was playing MW2, the game was stuck in there! So I had to dissemble the PS3 and its Bluray drive to get it out! I then got a PS3 Slim 120GB model because it would of been too expensive to fix the PS3.

Or sony could have done all of the above that you did for 100 bucks and about 11 days time...that's what they're doing for me. Tip: call the corporate support

Disassemble to get the disk out? Easier to switch of the power at the back, hold down the eject button, and turn the power on again. Worked every time mine got the YLOD.
