Feeding alligators is dangerous and irresponsible. Fed alligators lose their fear of humans, and learn to approach people looking to eat. The next time this gator approaches someone looking to eat, it could be some kids out swimming, or a four year-old near a riverbank -- and someone could die. In the US, if you ever see anyone feeding alligators, call 911 immediately.

Not many kids I know go swimming in the isolated rivers of rurrenabaque in Bolivia (Not everything in life happens in the US). Anyway, this was under supervision from a tour group (guides who were bolivians and grew up in this rainforest) who obviously know alot more about the area and impacts of such actions.
