The Crow Creek Sioux Reservation encompasses Buffalo County and portions of Hyde and Brule Counties. Crow Creek Sioux Tribe is consistently documented as one of the poorest Reservations in the Nation, with 78% of their members living below the poverty line.

On December 3, 2009 the Internal Revenue Service unlawfully auctioned off 7112 acres located on Crow Creek Sioux Tribal land.

The land is owned by Crow Creek Tribal Farms, Inc. a Tribal corporation and distinct legal entity from the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe.

The 7112 acres are within the boundaries of the original reservation, which was established in the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868.

  • greetings brothers and sisters,........they cannot take your spirit ....for that is strong........your bodies however will become weakened if you give in to the poisons of modern day processed pretend foods and poison waters in a bottle. ...........become stong and connect with the real food........ this will help you gain back what is truly yours...... your mind will connect with what is true and natural.........you need to be strong in body as well as spirit....... i love you

  • Google it. Even though Indians on tribal lands don't have to pay taxes, the IRS says they owe over 3 million. IRS auctioned the land to collect. It's not over...It's headed for the courts and the ACLU...

Nothing new here..the Feds have been stealing Indian lands for 500 years.

  • fuck it. put a bunch of casinos up! be like all the MN sioux tribes cash money!

  • I, who understand western politics, understand that the misunderstanding is in one side, theirs.

Ignorance is not an excuse. Just because their beliefs are a disease upon this earth does not give them the right to continue and never learn.

I believe that the earth should not be harmed for the benefits of man. This believe has left the natural resources that are entrusted to indigenous spared, at least compared to their lands.

They have used it all up. Now they want what is ours, again.

  • First are bothers and sisters, But now they are coming for you, Control

the money the food the oil control the population.

  • There is no great chief in washington, they are such liars, leave these people alone. IT IS THEIR LAND and they have had enough done to them. If the other people respected the land and animals as the Indians did, then the earth would not be as polluted as it is now. Great Great Great granddaughter of the Cherokee Nation!

  • The powerful music move my soul.

  • Stand Tall and Be Strong, nothing has changed. The same thing can happen to all people of this country.

    Blessings

  • @abundantguardian I am mostly white, but couldn't agree more. The u.s. gov't hasn't kept one treaty yet. Historically white culture keep making the same mistakes and destroying themselves, while the indigenous peoples respect the earth and she takes care of them. Indigenous people mostly thrive until they are influenced in some way by know it all invaders. Due to high health care costs I have had to turn to natural health, and it is wonderful. In the long haul it works m better than chems
