This is how to install new fonts in Windows XP. The more fonts you have installed, the longer it will take for certain programs to start. I would suggest keeping custom fonts in a separate folder and installing them as needed.

NOTE: You will need some unzipping software installed on your computer. In the video I used WinRAR (when I right-clicked on the file and chose "extract here"). 7-Zip is also a good free extractor.

  • all of the text is squares :(

  • @fudge817 This means that a program (such as Windows explorer) is currently using the font file and therefore Windows cannot move it. What you can do: click CTRL + ALT + DELETE to open up the task manager, switch to the processes tab, end the process "explorer.exe" and then start it again by clicking File > Run > explorer.exe. !-- Your open windows, and the desktop, will 'disappear' when the process stops - but don't worry as this is normal. --!
