This is a video time lapse of an ice rink being covered with a floor for a non-ice event.

Each piece of flooring is 1 inch thick, 4 x 8 feet in size and will not freeze to the ice.

Events such as a circus, concert, home show, business expo, have been held at our arena without ever having to remove the ice.

The video was captured for 1 second every 30 seconds played at 2x normal speed.

  • Why aren't the tiles staggered?

  • It would be difficult to fit the pieces together that way. There is very little gap, if any, between each sheet and staggering would inevitably cause some pieces to not want to fit, making it also difficult to get everything straight end-to-end.

  • would you happen to know what music that is? Thanks!

  • It's music that comes with Pinnacle Studio 10.

  • always am..

  • Me too. Old habits die hard.
