This is an old setup I had that I re-rendered in hi-res. Yes, it still needs some post work for motion blur, glows, etc. Most of this looked fine in lower res, now the obvious stuff sticks out.

I didn't have any good blue screen shots around, so I found the dancing girls on the net and added them in the back of the bridge. The vid was a terrible green screen shot, so it didn't turn out very good.

I'm doing some work on a JJ Abrams type hack, but I don't much like the look of it. The era of the Wrath of Khan still has some of the best looking models.

  • @satinbarbi

    I'm sorry I missed that!

  • @Waltham1892 Dance class has been a Starfleet tradition on ships since T'pol pole danced on the NX-01

  • Ever think about doing a sim?

  • Its like the Constitution Refit hat Sex with the Steamrunner Class.

  • Just one word: Congratulation!!!

The USS Phobos (loknar class refit) was, and still is, my favourite starship design. And you made it "lives" particulary well.

  • i am japanese . your visual is i have ever seen! wonderful!

    question;what use CGI apprication?

  • Forget doing JJ Abrams, I thought the new Star Trek sucked Bigtime. I never saw such crappy lighting in my life. They should of fired their effects crew. This looks far better, and the Phobos fly by by DustyWeavil really kicks ass, just wish it was longer. Phobos is the best looking ship in any of the Star Trek videos I have seen. Excellent work, Thanks.

  • It blows my mind that a desktop computer can put out better quality effects than the whizzes at ILM could do 30 years ago with models, etc. I can remember when ST:TWOK was released - it was pretty mind-blowing at the time. Great job. I
