Consider the value of the U.S. patent system and how it fosters innovation. Inventors play a critical role in growing our economy and improving our quality of life. How does the patent system aid inventors? What role do patents play in the invention cycle? What would the world be like without the patent system?

  • @h3k4u Ever heard of a trade secret? If the patent system wasn't in play, people would effectively just safeguard all their innovations to maintain their competitive advantage. [As a result, less and less of these innovations may make into the public sphere ... ] Or are you forgetting that we all live in a free enterprise culture? People are looking to put bread on the table in whatever way they can. They might as well be compensated for the things they do well.

  • This is bullshit. If were won't be any patent system, all ideas would be free and anyone could use it to make ipod. And maybe even something better than ipod. Your video doesn't make any sense. Patent system is just for making money.
